This was a dope event to the very end. Glad we were able to get an interview!
Greetings, Everyone!
Whew! QueerBOIS here — post-Atlanta Black Pride and all the other Labor Day events that carried on in Atlanta. We had such an amazing time this weekend. Though we didn’t spend much time out, we were completely tuned in to all the good times and the beautiful people visiting, celebrating and sharing life. To kick off Black Pride, Charis Books and More hosted QueerBOIS’ very first public introduction and information session. It was AMAZING!!
We started the evening with a few bites, drinks and casual mixing and mingling. Charis’ Program Director — and QB’s newest contributor — E. Anderson then led us into a Q&A-style conversation that was both engaging and comfortable. The audience really seemed to enjoy the discussion, and we received a great deal of positive and inquisitive feedback about our next steps, follow-up events and other QB affairs. (To be sure there are a few things in the works. :-) The turnout and publicity around Friday’s event was phenomenal, and we want to take a second to THANK our followers FIRST. We do this for YOU. We also appreciate Curve Magazine, and send big ups to our contributors and editorial staff. Many thanks to E. Anderson and Charis Books and More for hosting and, of course, thanks to the awesomeness of Life! We continue to grow, be strong and bring the best because we are supported and loved.
Stay tuned for more from Queer B.O.I.S and be sure to spread the word. Also, take a look at some of the photos from Friday’s event that we’ve received here and on Facebook. If you were there and took images, please feel free to send them over to us at queerbois@gmail.com!
All the BEST!
